Deadpool's Avengers: Doomsday Costume Just Leaked, and It Confirms Wolverine Too

Someone who worked on the set of Avengers: Doomsday will probably never work in Hollywood again. A leaked prop has all but confirmed a major character's involvement in the movie, and the way it happened is honestly kind of wild.

A Prop Leak Confirms Deadpool

The Russo brothers have said the full Avengers: Doomsday cast still hasn't been officially revealed, but thanks to a prop website, we now know one character who's definitely in it: Deadpool.

According to iCollector, a piece of Deadpool's costume from the set of Doomsday is currently up for auction. Whoever leaked this from the set is definitely going to feel the wrath of Kevin Feige. The starting bid is $100, and the auction officially opens on October 3rd.

The Signs Were Already There

Honestly, this shouldn't come as a total shock. We'd already been guessing Deadpool was heading to Doomsday after Ryan Reynolds showed up at Comic-Con and practically begged the cast to let him join the movie.

On top of that, Reynolds also popped up with a voice cameo in the Hugh Jackman video from D23, once again angling his way into Doomsday.

What This Means for Wolverine

Here's where it gets interesting. If Ryan Reynolds was in that D23 video alongside Hugh Jackman, that pretty much confirms Wolverine is in Avengers: Doomsday too. You don't put those two in a video together for no reason.

The Deadpool and Wolverine vs. Spider-Man Rumor

There's also been a pretty insane rumor floating around that Deadpool and Wolverine end up fighting Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man at the beginning of Doomsday. Now that Deadpool and Wolverine both seem officially confirmed for the movie, that rumor is looking a lot more believable.

If Wolverine and Deadpool actually fight Tobey's Spider-Man, the box office projections for Doomsday are way too low. Fans will probably be passing out in the theater.

Will Deadpool Fit the Tone?

This is the part I'm genuinely torn on. Deadpool being in Avengers: Doomsday is exciting on paper, but this movie is shaping up to be one of the most serious, high-stakes entries in the MCU. Does Deadpool's chaotic, fourth-wall-breaking energy fit in with that, or does it risk throwing off the tone of the whole thing?

There's a real problem with Deadpool in Doomsday if he's his usual self. Fourth wall breaks, inappropriate jokes, basically everything we love about him, it might ruin the whole tone of Doomsday. All the trailers make Doomsday seem like it's going to be a very serious and dark movie. Even Thor is going back to his serious mode after Love and Thunder. Deadpool might stick out like a sore thumb and be more of a problem than a positive.
